Moments In A River of Thought (Poem)

Moments In A River of Thought  ----- Sitting cross-legged on a patch of summer-scarred grass There's a loud band playing It's noisy but there's comfort  Some breeze Some smoke Some memories Clutch the tuft of grass It's a spaceship in time There are no tomorrows Only eternal yesterdays There's a needle in your groove You are the Vinyl Man You are the listener The music is you A song sung in full heard in half Starlight and sighs The don't-know-whys But there's a logic to it all Like the beauty of a stray yellow leaf in fall The enchantment Of captured moments Hung in an amorphous wall. Pray the puzzle remains. For solved mysteries Take you to curtain calls      -- Madhavan N   Monsoon of 22
