For Bangalore (A poem in limericks)

A city that I forsake not long past
Its weather mild, sky often overcast
Brings back sweet pain in memories
Its coffee engaging as its savouries
And friends with whom I had a blast.

Life goes on, with its ups and downs
Thorns adorn my imagined crowns
In the sudden whiff of a passing breeze
I recall, suddenly, times at Koshy's
Feelings drench me, where thoughts drown

You have heard such tales, I'm sure, before
When nostalgia stalks one to the core
Nevertheless each occasion is unique
Kindles a joy we deep down seek
And so do I take a deep breath--for Bangalore!
