Ppastahw Backwards (poem)

The insults of the inferior
Wrapped in confident ignorance
Swathed in faux humour
Unmindful of other horizons
Challenge the subdued epiphanies
Of more evolved minds

Scars and stains remain
Left to be washed in warm water
With three parts humour,
one part stoicism.

Never discuss Shakespeare with monkeys
They await eternal glory
Armed with probabilitarian spunk,
anecdotal impressions
and forwarded messages
Blessed by the energy of raucous persistence

The phones are smart
People not.
This too shall pass.
But where do we hide the irony
Of supreme vehicles
That carry dubious passengers?
