Fleeting festoons (poem)

__

All of us fragment
Float down the skies of time
In little pieces of gold, silver and glass
Shiny medals some, others shards
In uncertain firmaments of success and defeats
Feeling in manners others don't see.

All of us
Each of us
With awesome peaks in our minds
Submarine depths in our souls
In uncanny cocoons:
Strong as iron, gossamer thin

The glitters of the sun
The enchanting rays bouncing off the moon
Adorn falling fragments
The occasional blood oozes
From shards clutched per chance
The glory remains
In the ornamental dance
Of gold and silver
Embedded in a matrix.

The sunshine does the rest
Aided by aspirations.
The breath of life
