Delta XX, 23 Pairs (poem)

Narcissa! Narcissa!
Your time has come
The fluttering angel
Has shed its passive grace
Chosen to spread its wings
And take flight in displays
Candid. Cameratic. Varietous.

The Little Girl earns bread and more
Rules the world
Yet stays the Little Girl.

Peter Pan has spent his days
Has lost his path, mended ways.
He watches in silence
Straightening his wounded Y.

Narcissa! Narcissa!
Selfacious Butterfly
Your solemnity lies down there somewhere
In the nether memories of your Caterpillar Days
Where your mother sobbed and sighed
And shaped a generation
Unblessed by her painful yet passive grace.
